五條天神社/花園稲荷神社
上野公園内にある神社。五條天神社は少なくとも室町時代中期には上野山に鎮座していたが、寛永寺の拡張などで社地は何度か移転。この地に遷座されたのは1928年（昭和3年）9月22日。「牛天神」と呼ばれる天満宮が鎮座しており、江戸時代には東都七天神の一つとされた。花園稲荷神社は五條天神社が移転してくる以前からこの地にあった神社で、一説には空海が東寺の門前に建てた稲荷山を太田道灌が勧請したとも言われている。幕末には上野戦争の舞台ともなった。
The shrine is located in Ueno Park. Gojoten Shrine was located in Uenoyama at least in the middle of the Muromachi period (1333-1573), but the shrine site was moved several times due to the expansion of Kan-eiji Temple and other reasons. The shrine was moved to this location on September 22, 1928. Tenmangu Shrine, called "Ushitenjin," is located here, and during the Edo period it was considered one of the seven Tenjin shrines in the eastern capital. Hanazono Inari Shrine had been located here before Gojoten Shrine moved to the area. One theory says that Ota Dokan commissioned Inari Shrine to be built by Kukai in front of To-ji Temple's gate. At the end of the Edo period, the shrine was the scene of the Ueno War.

JR上野駅公園口周辺は2020年3月からロータリー化され、上野動物園へ直結。南北それぞれにロータリーを設け、バス乗り場やタクシー乗り場も整備された。東京国立博物館や国立西洋美術館などが集まる、東京の文化・芸術の中心地となる名所。
The area around the Park Exit of JR Ueno Station will be converted to a roundabout from March 2020, directly connecting to the Ueno Zoo. A roundabout has been built in each of the north and south sides of the station, and bus stops and cab stands have also been constructed. This is a famous landmark that will become the center of culture and art in Tokyo, where the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Western Art, and other museums are located.
